Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer Review

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer, 1.6 oz

Lately, I have been obsessing about makeup and trying to find products that really work for me. Once I decide what works for me than I am pretty loyal to those products.  I love my Alima Pure satin mineral foundation and I thought that pairing it with a primer would make for an even better application..

I researched some primers and decided to purchase Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer from Wal-Mart.

I really liked the texture and it made my skin feel like satin when I first placed it on my skin.

That being said, there were a few things that I didn't like about this product.  After applying my mineral foundation I did not see any visible difference from when I did not have a primer on. Within 5 minutes after putting it on, my skin began to feel very tight and very dry.  It was drying my skin out and I could actually feel it happening.  The next day I woke up to tiny red blemishes on face.

This product really did not work for me at all. I don't think I will ever try a primer again.  I'm sorry I did not take an actual picture or swatch of the primer but I returned it before I thought about actually writing a review of it.  Bottom line- I do not recommend this product if you have dry skin.

Please let me know if you have ever tried this product and what you thought of it.

Sibu Sea Buckthorn Body Cream Review

Today I would like to review one of my favorite all natural body creams.  It's from a company called  Sibu  and it's the Sea Buckthorn Body Cream.  I love finding skin care products that are natural and work wonderfully.

Pros-
Smells great- a light tangerine smell.
Hydrates skin
Not greasy
Quick absorption leaving a velvety smooth feeling
It's all natural!

Cons-
None at all

As you can see I have nothing bad to say about this product.  I just love it.  My children love it as well.  I highly recommend it.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Review

I saw this Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream at the drugstore and decided to pick it up.  It looked interesting to me.  I am always on the look out for a tinted moisturizer for those days when I'm in a rush.  I liked that the ingredients did not contain any aluminum products, talc, chemical sunscreen or parabens.
I picked up the medium shade.  As you can see this is very liquidy.  I really liked the texture of this and it had no odor.

It blended very nice and smoothly.

This is a pic of it all blended in. When placed on my face some areas were dewy looking and other areas seemed somewhat matte looking.  This product should really be called a tinted moisturizer because that's essentially what it is to me.  I don't think that it covers my redness around my nose at all.  But that's not what a tinted moisturizer is suppose to do. As far as sunscreen it does say that it has spf 30.  The sunscreen is a physical sunscreen of titanium dioxide.  I think that if you are in a rush, this will work perfectly with some concealer for your more problem areas. This may work great as a primer also.  I think this product is for those with normal to dry or extremely dry skin.  This is not for those that have oily skin.    Overall, I like this product if you are looking for a nice tinted moisturizer and have normal to dry skin.

It claims to be an 8 in 1 skin perfector:  Here are my thoughts on these claims:
• Blurs imperfections-  yes, it does blur slighltly
• Brightens-  I did not really see brightening
• Evens skin tone-  It does even out the skin tone slightly
• Smoothes-  It does smooth out your skin
• Hydrates-  It feels very hydrating
• Enhances-  yes slightly
• Protects with SPF 30-  yes with a physical sunscreen of titanium dioxide
• 0% oils and heavy ingredients- I agree

Let me know if you have tried it and what you think.
